    Craig’s career in construction started nearly 30 years ago from humble beginnings as an apprentice carpenter.

    In those intervening decades, Craig’s passion for excellence has seen him rise to his current position as a respected and reputable leader in his field, with a swathe of award-winning projects to his credit.

    Craig has honed his craft across industry disciplines such as construction management, project management, estimating and contracts administration. This experience has given him a comprehensive understanding of the critical aspects of delivering complex construction projects across Queensland and throughout Australia.

    Since 2003, Craig has led multi-million dollar projects all around Queensland, the Northern Territory, New South Wales and South Australia, leveraging his deep project management expertise and hands-on building experience.

    He infuses each project with his unique, practical insights, creating beautiful buildings and spaces that connect people with each other and their environment.

    Nick is an accomplished Chartered Accountant with experience across the commercial construction and property sectors, bringing strong expertise in finance leadership, strategy, technical accounting, forecasting, and business performance. He has led finance functions within high-growth organisations, overseeing budgeting, cashflow management, taxation, statutory reporting, and audit processes.

    With a background spanning tier-one contractors and global advisory firms, Nick provides valuable commercial insight to support strategic decision-making. Known for his analytical approach and leadership capability, he plays a key role in driving financial performance, managing risk, and supporting sustainable business growth.

    Mandy has played a key role in delivering major infrastructure and building projects, providing commercial oversight, managing risk, and supporting project teams to achieve successful outcomes. Known for her strategic and detail-oriented approach, she drives strong commercial governance and project performance.

  • With over 20 years of experience in the building and commercial construction industry, Dean brings a strong background in site management to his role overseeing HSEQ. Having spent much of his career in site-based roles, he offers a practical, hands-on understanding of health, safety, environment, and quality outcomes.

    Passionate about systems and operational effectiveness, Dean focuses on driving continuous improvement through robust processes and best practice implementation. He works closely with project teams to strengthen HSEQ performance, ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and supporting the safe and successful delivery of projects.

    Todd brings over 17 years’ experience in the construction industry, specialising in fitouts and refurbishments.

    A qualified Carpenter, Todd progressed through site supervision roles from Leading Hand to Site Foreman and now serves as Senior Project Manager within our Fitout division.

    Todd has a proven track record delivering complex, fast-paced projects across a range of sectors including government, residential, commercial, hospitality, education, and retirement living.

    Known for his collaborative leadership style and hands-on approach, Todd consistently delivers projects to the highest standards, working closely with his team, subcontractors, partners, and clients to achieve successful outcomes.

Beyond Cycling Challenge 2026

Checkpoint Constructions is a proud Silver Sponsor of the 2026 BEYOND Cycling Challenge — a gruelling 750-kilometre ride over five days, with more than 12,000 metres of elevation through the Adelaide Hills. Our very own Craig Petersen took on the challenge firsthand alongside an inspiring and committed group of riders and organisers, contributing to an initiative that delivers real, lasting impact.

The ride supports TRACTION for Young People and the important work they do every day with young people at a critical point in their lives. Through hands-on programs and consistent mentoring, TRACTION helps build confidence, develop practical skills, and create a sense of direction.

Youth disengagement remains a significant challenge across Australia, with around one in ten young people disengaged from education. At the same time, early intervention services face critical funding gaps — despite being proven to improve long-term outcomes.
